Introduction
Sanima Jum Hydropower Ltd.
Sanima Jum Hydropower Pvt. Ltd., was established in the year 2014 as a "Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)" company. The company was converted into public limited company in the year 2021. The company has been incorporated in the Office of the Company Register, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Government of Nepal with registration number: 253402/077/078. The sole objective of the company is to implement Jum Khola Jalvidhyut Aayojana (56 MW).
Sanima Jum Hydropower Ltd., obtained the generation license of Jum Khola Jalvidhyut Aayojana (56 MW) from Department of Electricity Development, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Government of Nepal on June 2021. The project is located at Bigu Rural Municipality (former Lamabagar VDC), Dolakha District, Bagmati Province (former Janakpur Zone of Central Development region) Nepal. The entire project components lie within Gaurishankar Conservation Area.
Jum Khola Jalvidyut Aayojana (56 MW) is a Run-of-River (RoR) type project with its headworks located along the left bank of Jum Khola at about 1.5 kilometer upstream from Jum-Lapche River confluence. The entire project's waterway lies along the left bank of Jum Khola and Tamakoshi Nadi. The underground powerhouse is located at the left bank of Tamakoshi Nadi at about 3.5 km upstream from Upper Tamakoshi Hydroelectric Project's dam.
All of the project's components lie within Gaurishankar Conservation Area.
